Journalist Partner Program Terms of Service

Welcome to the Journalist Partner Program!


Here are the guidelines you should follow to ensure a fruitful partnership. We prefer paying our affiliates rather than banning them. So play nice, respect the rules, and get paid.

  1. Self-Referrals: To maintain fairness, signing up through your own affiliate link is not permitted. We use an automated system to detect and disallow this.
  2. Prohibited Activities: Any abuse, gaming, or attempts to mislead (e.g., posting fake discounts on coupon-sharing websites) will lead to permanent account suspension.
  3. Single Account Policy: Partners are allowed only one account and cannot use the same email for multiple accounts.
  4. Credit for Referrals: In certain cases, we may credit a partner even if the customer did not sign up through a partner link. We consider these requests on a case-by-case basis and will do our best to assign the correct referral to your account. Contact us at steven@tryjournalist.com with relevant details for assistance.
  5. Advertising Guidelines:
    • No search engine ads on Google or Bing, especially on branded terms or domain names. Directly linking search ads to your affiliate link will likely result in permanent account suspension.
    • Advertising on Meta, TikTok, Linkedin, or other social platforms is acceptable. For clarity or questions, email steven@tryjournalist.com.
  6. Impersonation: Partners must not impersonate Journalist AI or act on our behalf (e.g., as an employee or representative).
  7. Terms of Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify the Partner Program Terms of Service at any time.
  8. Account Termination: We may terminate your partner account at our discretion if any rules are violated.
  9. Commission Integrity: Commissions generated through methods violating our Terms of Service will neither be paid nor owed.
  10. Have a serious amount of fun while promoting us.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ

  1. Commissions are paid out 30 days after referral, at the end of the month. So make a referral on 15th June and get paid on 31st July.
  2. Cookie duration is 90 days and operates on a 'first-touch' policy.
  3. Payments are made via PayPal, so please ensure you give us a valid PayPal email address when creating your affiliate account.
  4. General payout threshold is $100. Funds will not be able to be withdrawn until the threshold has been met.
